White Cedar

White Cedar, also known as Eastern White Cedar, is a coniferous tree highly valued for its attractive foliage and natural insect-repelling properties. This evergreen tree can grow up to 60 feet tall and 15 feet wide, with a narrow, pyramidal shape. It prefers part shade and moist, well-drained soil, but can tolerate a wide range of soil conditions. White Cedar requires regular watering when first planted, but once established, it is relatively low maintenance. It is susceptible to deer damage, so protective measures may be necessary. The tree’s foliage is green in colour and it is known for its lower canopy.
